Absaroka Alpaca Ranch is a Colorado based alpaca breeder. We strive to produce the best possible offspring utilizing all possible tools available. EPD’s, Histograms, Pedigree as well as physical looks are all taken into account when selecting mating pairs for our program. In doing so we know that in the end, it is all about the fleece. Therefore, even though we are producing ribbon-winning animals we are striving to produce animals that keep producing quality fleece year after year.
With these goals in mind, it keeps us from becoming too large. We intentionally stay “small” so that we can continue to focus our attention on each animal. This allows us to be extremely selective when we pair animals for breeding. This has resulted in some truly amazing offspring.
Our small size, 20-35 alpacas depending on the time of year, also allows us to not only stay focused on the alpacas but also on our customers. Every customer is as important as each alpaca that we focus our attention on. We know purchasing alpacas can be a big decision so we can assist you each step of the way. We are there before the sale, after the sale and once you get them home.
